Notches Recipe

Preparation Method:

Cut 2 ounces Cheddar or Monterey Jack cheese into twenty-four ¾ -inch squares, each about 1/8 inch thick. Dice 1 canned mild chili pepper. Arrange 12 taco-flavored tortilla chips on a plate. Using ½ cup canned bean dip, top each chip with 1 teaspoon of the bean dip, a piece of chili pepper, and a piece of cheese. Micro-cook, uncovered, just till cheese melts, about 30 to 45 seconds, turning plate several times. Repeat with 12 additional chips and remaining dip, pepper, and cheese. Makes 24.
