Sweet-Sour Burgers

Items Required:
½ cup crushed gingersnaps (8)
1 8-ounce can tomato sauce
¼ cup finely chopped onion
¼ cup raisins
½ teaspoon salt
1 pound ground beef
2 tablespoons vinegar
2 tablespoons packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon prepared mustard
Preparation Method:
Set aside 2 tablespoons of the crushed gingersnaps. Combine remaining gingersnaps, 2 tablespoons of the tomato sauce, onion, raisins, and salt. Add meat; mix well. Shape into four 4-inch patties. Arrange in 8×8x2-inch baking dish. Micro-cook, covered, 5 minutes, giving dish a half turn after 3 minutes. Drain off excess fat. Combine the remaining tomato sauce, reserved gingersnaps, vinegar, brown sugar, mustard, 2 tablespoons water, and dash pepper. Pour over burgers. Micro-cook, covered, till done, about 4 minutes, stirring sauce and turning dish after 2 minutes. Serves 4.
