Easy Chasseur Sauce Recipe

Preparation Method:

In medium glass bowl micro-cook 2 tablespoons sliced green onion with tops in 2 tablespoons butter or margarine till tender, about 1 ½ minutes. Blend in1 envelope brown gravy mix and 1 tablespoon tomato paste. Stir in ¾ cup water; ½ cup dry red wine; one 3-ounce can chopped mushrooms, drained; and ½ teaspoon dried fines herbes, crushed. Cook, uncovered, till thickened and bubbly, 3 minutes; stir every minute. Serve with beef. Makes 1 ¾ cups.
