Ham Medley

Ingredients:

- 2 cups medium noodles (3 ounces)
- ¾ cup chopped celery
- ½ cup chopped onion
- ¼ cup chopped green pepper
- 3 tablespoons butter or margarine
- 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- ½ teaspoon dried dillweed
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup cream-style cottage cheese
- 2 cups cubed fully cooked ham
- 2 tablespoons butter or margarine
- 1/3 cup fine dry bread crumbs


Preparation Method:

On Range Top: Cook noodles in boiling salted water following package directions; drain.
In 2-quart casserole combine celery and next 3 ingredients. Micro-cook, covered, till tender, 3 minutes. Blend in flour, dill, ¼ teaspoon salt, and 1/8 teaspoon pepper. Stir in milk and cheese. Micro-cook, uncovered, till thickened and bubbly, 4 to 4 ½ minutes, stirring after each minute. Stir in noodles and ham. Micro-cook, uncovered, till hot, about 6 minutes, stirring twice. Let stand 5 minutes.

In a 1-cup glass measure micro-melt 2 tablespoon butter 30 to 40 seconds; stir in crumbs. Sprinkle atop casserole. Serves 6.
