Clam Chowder Recipe

Ingredients:

- 1 tablespoon bacon drippings
- 2 tablespoons onion, diced
- 1 small potato, peeled and cubed
- ½ cup water
- ½ teaspoon seasoned salt
- Dash pepper
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 cup milk, divided
- 1 (6 ½ oz.) can minced clams, undrained
- 1 tablespoon butter

Preparation Method:

In 2-quart casserole, combine bacon drippings and onion. Microwave at HIGH (10) 2 to 3 minutes until onion is tender. Add potatoes, water, seasoned salt and pepper. Cover. Microwave at HIGH (10) 6 to 8 minutes, until potatoes are tender; stir after 3 minutes. Add flour to ¼ cup milk, clams and butter to potatoes and onions. Microwave at HIGH (10) 6 to 8 minutes, stirring every 2 minutes.

Total Microwave Cooking Time 14 to 19 Minutes
Makes 3 servings
