Sweet And Sour Beets Recipe
Ingredients:
- 3 tablespoons butter; melted
- 2 large fresh beets, peeled and grated
- 2 teaspoons cornstarch
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon vinegar
- 3 tablespoons sugar
Preparation Method:
In 1-quart casserole, combine butter and grated beets. Cover. Microwave at MEDIUM (5) 10 to 12 minutes stir after 5 minutes. In small mixing bowl, dissolve cornstarch in water. Add cornstarch, salt, vinegar and sugar to beets. Mix well. Cover. Microwave at HIGH (10) 4 to 6 minutes; stir after 2 minutes.
Total Microwave Cooking Time 14 to 18 Minutes
Makes 4 to 6 servings
