Bacon Wrapped Chicken Livers Recipe

Ingredients:
1 lb. thinly sliced bacon
1 can (8-oz.) water chest nuts
1/2 lb. chicken livers (about 20)
Preparation Method:
Microwave at High 1 Minute, in the package, until slices easily separate. Divede bacon slices between 4 paper towel lined pape plates. Cover with paper towel. Microwave one plate at a time. Microwave at High 2 1/2 minutes. Cut each partially cooked slice in half. Drain and cut each chest nut in half. Rinse and drain livers. Cut in half.
To assemple, sprinkle bacon strips lightly with ground cloves and brown sugar. Place one piece of chicken liver and one piece of water chestnut at the end of each bacon strip. Roll up, securing with a toothpick. Arrange 10 in a circle on each of 4 paper towel lined (1 sheet) paper plates. Cover with paper towel. Recipe may be rerigerated at this point if desired. Microwave at High 3 to 4 Minutes, rotating dish 1/2 turn after 1 1/2 minutes. When microwaving from refrigerator temperature, increase time for each plate 1/2 to 1 minute. Makes 40 horsdoevres.
