Classic Ham Loaf Recipe

Ingredients:
1 lb. ground ham
1/2 lb. ground fresh pork
1/2 cup soft bread crumbs
1/2 cup water
2 tablespoons instant minced onion
1/4 teaspoon pepper
Preparation Method:
Mix ground ham and pork thoroughly with crumbs, water, onion, and pepper. Mold into flat oval loaf in 10×6x2-in. dish, or flat loaf in 9-in. pie plate.
Insert temperature probe so tip is in center of food. Cover tightly with plastic wrap, arranging loosely around probe to vent. Attach cable end at receptacle. Microwave at medium. Set Temp, Set 170 degree.
When oven signals, remove loaf from oven and let stand 5 minutes before serving. Makes 6 servings.
On models not equipped with probe use minimum microwave time and check for doneness.
Note:
1. If a fast simple glaze is desired, spoon pineapple or apricot preserves over cooked ham loaf a few minutes before serving.
2. For best cooking results, do not exceed recommended weight of meat.
