BrownVeal Roll Ups
Ingredients:
4 boneless veal cutlets (4-oz.each)
1 can (4 1/2 -oz.) deviled ham
1 tablespoon instant minced onion
1 pkg. (3-oz.) cream cheese
2 tablespoons butter
1/2 cup fine dry bread crumbs
3/4 cup water
1 pkg. (1 1/2-oz.) dry mushroom gravy mix
1/4 cup cooking sherry or water
Preparation Method:
Pound cutlets thin, using a wooden mallet or foil covered brick. Mix ham with minced onion and sperad over cutlets, just to edge.
Slice cream cheese into 12 narrow strips. Place 3 strips. Place 3 strips on each cutlet. Roll up firmly. Fasten each roll with a toothpick.
Place butter in small glass bowl. Microwave at High 1/2 Minute, until melted. Dip veal rolls in butter, then coat with crumbs. Arrange in 10×6x2-in. dish.
In 1-pt. glass measure. combine water, gravy mix and sherry. Microwave at High 2 minutes, stirring after 1 minute. Pour over veal rolls.
Cover with plastic wrap turning back one corner to vent. Microwave at High 13 to 15 minutes, rotating dish 1/2 turn every 5 minutes, until meat is tender and filling is set. Makes 4 veal rolls.
