Chicken Teriyaki Recipe
Ingredients:

1/4 cup soy sauce
1/3 cup honey
1/3 cup sherry
1 whole broiler-fryer, about 3-lb.

Preparation Method:

In small cooking bag, mix soy sauce, honey and sherry. Add chicken to bag and tie open end securely with plastic strip cut from open end of bag.

Turn chicken on its side and place in 12×8x2-in. dish Marinade in refrigerator 1 to 2 hours, turning chicken over after 1/2 of time. To microwave, place bird breast side up in dish.Slash bag near closure. Insert temperature probe as shown at left. Microwave at Medium High. Set Temp, Set 190 degree. When oven signals, remove chicken. Prepare Teriyaki sauce (below) and finish chicken as described in sauce recipe. Makes about 4 servings.

On models not equipped with probe use minimum microwave time and check for doneness.

Teriyaki Sauce:

In 1-pt. glass measuring cup stir together 1 tablespoon water and 2 tablespoons cornstarch. Cut off one corner of cooking bag with scissors and drain juices into cup. Microwave at High 2 to 3 minutes, until thick and clear, stirring after 1 minute. After 10 minutes, remove chicken from bag to serving platter. Pour sauce over chicken just before serving.
