Yams Hawaiian Style Recipe
Ingredients:
2 cans (1-lb. 2-oz. each) yams or sweet potatoes, drianed
1 can (8 1/2-oz.) crushed pineapple
1/2 cup (1/4-lb.) melted butter
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 cup coarsley chopped pecans
1/4 cup light brown sugar (packed)
Preparation Method:
Slice yams into 1/2-in. thick pieces. Combine with pineapple, butter, sugar and cinnamon in 2-qt. casserole. Microwave at High 4 Minutes. Stir.
Sprinkle top with pecans and brown sugar. Microwave at High 2 to 4 Minutes. If dish is not melted after 2 minutes, rotate dish 1/4 turn, continue to microwave. Makes 6 to 8 servings.
