Birthday cake cones

Item required
1 package (9 oz.) cake mix
8 flat bottom ice cream cones

Preparation method
1.Prepare cake mix as directed on package. Spoon about 2 tablespoons batter into each ice cream cone. Place in oven; allow about 1-inch space between each one.
2.MICROWAVE on DEFROST:
1 cone — 45 SECONDS to 1 MINUTE
2 cones — 11/2 to 2 MINUTES
4 cones — 3 to 31/2 MINUTES
6 cones — 41/2 to 43/4 MINUTES
8 cones — 5 to 51/2 MINUTES
Cake Cones are done when toothpick inserted near center of each cake comes out clean. Cake will be slightly soft around edges when cones come from oven. Cool on wire rack. Frost.
8 Cake Cones
TIP Top each Cake Cone with a scoop of ice cream and use colored gum drops to make a face on ice cream “head”.
