Item required
1 cup chopped celery
3 green onions, chopped
1 medium tomato, quartered
1 tablespoon dried parsley flakes
2 teaspoons salt
Dash pepper
21/2 lbs. stewing chicken. cut up
3 cups water
11/2 cups uncooked egg noodles
Settings: HIGH/DEFROST
1. Combine all ingredients, except noodles, in 3-quart glass casserole. Cover with glass lid or plas¬tic wrap.
2. MICROWAVE on HIGH for 15 MINUTES. Turn chicken pieces over.
3. MICROWAVE on DEFROST for 50 to 60 MINUTES or until chicken is fork tender. Remove chicken from broth; stir in noodles; recover, and MICROWAVE on DEFROST for 10 to 12 MINUTES or until noodles are tender. Remove chicken from bones. Return chicken meat to broth; recover, and MICROWAVE on DE¬FROST for 3 to 4 MINUTES or until hot. Let stand, covered, 5 minutes before serving.
