Barbecued Marinated Chicken

Items Required:

1 2 –pound ready-to- cook broiler-fry chicken
½ cup dry sherry
2 tablespoons honey
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 teaspoon dry mustard
½ teaspoon ground ginger
¼ teaspoon paprika

Preparation Method:

Halve chicken lengthwise; place in shallow baking dish. Combine remaining ingredients; pour over chicken. Cover; refrigerate 4 to 6 hours, occasionally spooning marinade over.

Remove chicken, reserving marinade. Arrange chicken, skin side up, in 10 x 6 x 2-inch baking dish. Micro-cook, covered, 18 minutes, giving dish a quarter turn every 3 minutes. Transfer chicken to barbecue grill. Grill over hot coals till done, about 10 minutes. Brush occasionally with marinade and turn chicken until evenly browned. Makes 2 servings.
