
Items Required:
2 1-pound ready-to-cook Rock Cornish game hens
¼ cup chopped onion
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
1 ½ cups dry bread cubes (2 slices)
2 tablespoons chopped walnuts
1 teaspoon grated orange peel
2 tablespoons orange juice paprika
1 tablespoon orange marmalade
1 teaspoon bottled steak sauce
Preparation Method:
Season inside of hens with salt and pepper. In 4- cup glass measure micro-cook onion in butter, about 1 ½ minutes. Stir in bread, nuts, peel, and ¼ teaspoon salt. Toss with juice. Stuff birds with mixture. Tie legs together. Place, breast side down, in 10 x 6 x 2-inch baking dish. Sprinkle with paprika. Micro-cook, uncovered, on high setting 10 minutes. Turn breast up; sprinkle with paprika. Cook, uncovered, on roast (medium-high) setting till done, about 10 minutes. Mix last 2 ingredients. Brush on birds; micro-cook, uncovered, on high setting 1 minute. Let stand 5 minutes, Serve 2.
