1/4 cup packed brown sugar<br />
1 tablespoon cornstarch<br />
1 8-ounce can pineapple chunks<br />

1/4 cup vinegar<br />
1 tablespoon snipped chives<br />
Dash garlic powder<br />
1/4 cup sliced almonds, toasted</p>

<p><strong>Preparation method</strong><br />
1.Thaw fish, if frozen; cut into 4 serving-size pieces.<br />
2.In a 1-qt casserole combine brown sugar and cornstarch.<br />
3.Drain pineapple, reserving juice. Stir pineapple juice into brown sugar mixture.<br />
4.Stir in green pepper, vinegar, soy sauce, chives, and garlic powder.<br />
5.Micro-cook, uncovered, on 100% (HIGH) 2 1/2 to 4 1/2 minutes or until thickened, stirring every minute.<br />
6.Stir in pineapple chunks, set aside.<br />
7.In a 2-qt casserole arrange fish, placing thicker portions toward outside of casserole; cover with waxed paper.<br />
8.Micro-cook on 100% (HIGH) 4 to 5 minutes or until fish flakes easily when tested with a fork, rotating dish a half-turn after half cooking time.<br />
9.Drain well. Remove fish to a serving platter. Spoon pineapple mixture over fish.<br />
10.Sprinkle with toasted almonds.<br />
<strong>Makes 4 servings.</strong></p>

5.Stir frankfurters into hot sauce. Micro-cook, uncovered, on 50% (medium) 7-10 minutes or until frankfurters are thoroughly heated; stir once.<br />

<p><strong>Settings: HIGH/DEFROST</strong><br />
1.Place crackers on bottom of buttered 2-quart (12 x 7) glass baking dish; set aside. Combine butter and brown sugar in 4-cup glass measure.<br />
2.MICROWAVE on HIGH for about 2 MINUTES or until butter is melted. Stir in nuts. Pour syrup over crackers.<br />
3.MICROWAVE on DEFROST for 5 to 6 MINUTES or until bubbly. Top with chocolate pieces and MICROWAVE on DEFROST for 2 to 21/2 MINUTES or until chocolate is softened. Spread chocolate evenly overtop. Chill for about 30 MINUTES or until cool; cut into bars.</p>

1.Combine all ingredients except nuts in buttered large glass mixing bowl; cover.<br />
2.MICROWAVE for 20 MINUTES. Stir and MICRO-WAVE for 15 to 20 MINUTES or until a soft ball forms in cold water. Beat with mixer at medium speed until creamy. Stir in nuts.<br />
3.Pour into a 3-quart (13 x 9) glass baking dish. Cool until firm. Cut into pieces.<br />

<strong>TIP </strong>MICROWAVE on MEDIUM for 15 MINUTES and then 13 to 15 in step 2.</p>
