White sauce

Item required
1 cup milk
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour 1/4 teaspoon salt
1/o teaspoon pepper
2 tablespoons butter or margarine

Setting: HIGH
1. Combine all ingredients in 2-cup glass measure; mix well.
2. MICROWAVE for 2 MINUTES. Stir and MICRO-WAVE for 1 to 11/2 MINUTES or until thickened. About 1 Cup Sauce

TIPS Make EGG WHITE SAUCE by stirring 2 to 3 hard cooked eggs, finely chopped, into Basic White Sauce when sauce is stirred during step 2.
*Make CHEESE SAUCE by stirring 1/4 teaspoon dry mustard and 1/2 cup shredded American process cheese into Basic White Sauce when sauce is stirred in step 2.
