Cabbage Patch Casserole Recipe

Ingredients:

1 medium heat cabbage
2 tablespoons water
1/2 teaspoon salt
4 strips bacon
1 can (10 3/4-oz.) condensed cheddar cheese soup
1/2 cup milk
1 can (3-oz.) French fried onions

Preparation Method:

Chop cabbage into small pieces. Place in 2-qt. casserole along with water and salt. Microwave at High 10 to 12 Minutes, rearranging cabbage after 5 minutes. Drain off liquid.

Separate and place strips of bacon on a double thickeness of paper towels which have been placed on a paper or pottery plate. Cover with single layer of paper towel. Microwave at High 4 Minutes. Crumble.

Mix together crumbled bacon, soup and milk until well blended. Pour over cooked cabbage and mix thoroughly. Cover. Microwave at High 5 to 6 Minutes. Stir.

Sprinkle onions over top of casserole. Microwave at High 1 to 2 minutes more, uncovered, until lightly bubbling around edges. Makes 6 servings.
